Hey Warriors!!!
Wondering what will you major in while in college? Considering what type of career you might be interested in?
Stop by the counseling office and take the Career Zone Inventory. The
inventory will recognize which careers are best for your personality and
which careers will you most likely enjoy.
The inventory will take about 30 minutes. Stop by the counseling office
to an appointment and get some guidance for your future!!
College Entrance Exams
ACT - Saturday, September 13, 2014
Registration deadline: Friday, August 8, 2014.
Registration fee = $49.50 + late fee $21.00
Go to www.actstudent.org to register.
See Mr. Givens for ACT Fee Waivers – limited number of waivers available on a first-come-first served basis.
SAT - October 11, 2014. Deadline to register late is September 5.
Registration fee = $49+ $26 late fee)

you would like to meet with the counselor for college planning,
please go to the counseling office (Room G8) schedule an appointment.

Work Permits
Requests
for Work Permits are obtained from the College Center. All sections of
the Request (blue or green sheet) must be completed and turned in to
the counseling department. A Work Permit will be issued within 1 - 3
days. Work Permits must be signed by the student and must be picked up
by the student in the Main Office.
Transcript Requests
Please
allow 1 - 3 business days to process transcript requests. For example,
if you need a transcript by Wednesday, please request the transcript by
Friday of the previous week. Your transcript will be delivered to you
or available for pick up in the Main Office.
Show your college pride and wear your college shirt, hoodie or jacket. Uniform pants are still required.
Community Service Hours - Start today!!
Students need 75 or more community service hours to graduate from New
Millennium Secondary School. Pick up more information from the
counseling office.

Community Serivce Report Form
Please
fill out this form completely and return to Mrs. Hunter. This form
must be completed every time you complete a total of volunteer hours for
a location. All community service hours are due by April 30 of your
Senior year. Don’t wait until the last minute. Start as early as the
summer after completing 8th grade.
