NMSS Forms Partnership with El Camino College Compton Center
NMSS is pleased to announce that El Camino College Compton Center will be offering select classes to NMSS students starting in February. Classes will be held at NMSS in the late afternoons. Priority for enrollment is based upon grade level, with upper classmen getting first dibs.
NMSS Counselor Joy Hunter and El Camino College Compton Center's Ricky Shabazz worked very hard to put this arrangement into place. We thank them for their efforts.

NMSS Improves 2011 API
For the third straight year, NMSS improved its Academic Performance Index (API) Growth Score, raising from a 649 to 666. The 17 point gain is almost double the State goal of 9. API is calculated using State testing in the spring and CAHSEE pass rates. This is the third straight year NMSS has outperformed Carson, Banning, Gardena, Compton and Dominguez high schools. Congratulations to our students, parents, teachers and staff for all their hard work.
